Investigation Launched After Man Dies Suddenly At Fast Food Outlet

Police have launched an investigation following the sudden death of a man at a fast food restaurant in north Belfast.

The man's body was discovered in the bathroom area of the premises on Brougham Street on Monday, 12 June.

The restaurant closed on Monday, however it is to re-open today, 13 June.

No further details have been released.

PSNI Attempt to Trace Two Men After Man's Sudden Death
Police are attempting to trace two men who are believed to have been in the company of Brendan McKernan in Belfast last month. Mr McKernan, 31, died in hospital on 23 February after he collapsed at a fast food restaurant five days earlier. Police believe the two individuals may be able to help them.

Lurgan Security Alert Declared A Hoax
A security alert in Lurgan, County Armagh, has been declared a hoax, police have said. The alert started at around 10.30pm on Thursday following the discovery of a suspicious package in a fast food restaurant on Union Street. Army bomb experts were sent to the scene and some homes in the area were evacuated.

North Belfast fast food restaurant robbed
Police in North Belfast are appealing for information following an armed robbery in a fast food restaurant. Three males entered the premises on the Antrim Road at around 9:25pm yesterday evening; one of the men was carrying a handgun. They made their way to the rear of the property and made off with a sum of cash.

Supermac's, who currently own 80 restaurants in the south, are to invest around £10 million in acquiring a number of sites on which they can build new businesses.

Two Men Arrested Over Robbery And Attempted Hijacking
Two men have been arrested in connection with a robbery and attempted hijacking in Co Antrim. The incident occurred on the Antrim Road in Newtownabbey at around 11.30pm on Tuesday, 19 July. Two men approached another man who was standing outside a fast food outlet and threatened him with a knife and forced him to hand over his wallet.
