Event Launched For Employers To Consult On Recruitment
A new employer engagement event is to be hosted by the Department for the Economy (DfE) and the Department of Communities (DfC).
The event, designed to give NI employers the opportunity to voice their views on staff recruitment to local government departments, is to be held on Wednesday 30 August, 2017.
The event is chance to share ideas on what works for businesses when recruiting and how to upskill those applying for jobs including the unemployed, economically inactive and young people.
The event is aimed at small to medium sized employers.
There will be two sessions on the day; a morning event for small employers (1-49 employees) and an afternoon event for medium employers (50+ employees).
It will take place at the Seagoe Hotel, Portadown and registration closes at 5pm on Wednesday 23 August.

Bank of England holds UK interest rate at 4%
The Bank of England has held the main UK interest rate at 4% for the twelfth consecutive month. This is despite a larger than anticipated cut by the US Federal Reserve. Leading economists were split on whether or not interest rates would or should be dropped.
