Investigation Launched After Truck Stolen From Building Site In L'Derry

Police have launched an investigation after two males stole a truck from a building site in Co L'Derry.

The men were seen driving the vehicle in the Skeoge Road area on Tuesday night.

they drove the truck through local housing estates including Ederown Park, Glendale Park and Rossnagalliagh.

Damage was caused to lampposts and other street property. The truck has since been recovered.

Inspector Ray Wilson said: "We are appealing to anyone who can help us identify the males driving the vehicle, or who was in the area at the time and witnessed the vehicle being driven. This was reckless behaviour, which could have had serious consequences."

The incident began on Tuesday evening when a brown Range Rover Evoque was stolen from a public car park in the Ratcliffe Street area.
