Man Struck By Vehicle In Belfast

A number of arrests have been made after reports that a man was struck by a vehicle in Belfast on Tuesday, 19 September.

The incident happened in the Flax Street area at around 4.20pm.

The man has been taken to hospital to be treated.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "We are appealing to anyone who was in the Flax Street area this afternoon and witnessed the incident to contact police at Tennent Street on the non-emergency number, quoting reference number 909 of 19/09/17.

"Alternatively, if someone wishes to provide information anonymously, they can call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

Police have launched an investigation after a man was hit on the back of his head with a glass bottle in Lisburn. Man Arrested Over Paul McCready Murder Released Pending Report To PPS
A man arrested in connection with the murder of Paul McCready in Belfast has been released, pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service (PPS). Mr McCready, 31, was a father of two from north Belfast. He died in hospital from injuries sustained in an attack in the Donegall Street area on Sunday, 02 April.

Man Arrested Following Arson Attacks In South Belfast
A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a number of arson attacks in south Belfast. Two cars were set on fire in the Joy Street area and another vehicle was set alight in Friendly Street in the early hours of Friday morning, 09 September.

Man Charged Following Drugs Find
A man has been charged after police seized drugs, worth a street value of between £50,000-£75,000, in Co L'Derry. Cannabis plants and herbal cannabis were discovered during search in the High Street area in Draperstown on Wednesday. A 35-year-old man has been charged with possession and cultivation of class B drugs with intent to supply.
