Secretary Of State To Make Statement About Ongoing Political Crisis
Northern Ireland Secretary of State James Brokenshire is to make a statement today, 01 November, about the ongoing political crisis in Northern Ireland.
The DUP and Sinn Fein have failed to reach an agreement to restore a power-sharing Executive.
Mr Brokenshire gave an additional 24 hours on Monday, 30 October, for the parties to reach an agreement.
However, after negotiations on Tuesday a deal has not been made.
Talks are expected to resume today.
Northern Ireland has been without an Executive since January.

The two main political parties in Northern Ireland have made some progress on aspects of language and culture in talks to restore a power-sharing government, according to the Secretary of State. James Brokenshire said the DUP and Sinn Féin had not reached a deal yet and "clear differences remain".
