Man Escapes Injury Following 'Suspicious' Caravan Fire In Co Down
A man has escaped injury following a fire at a caravan in Co Down.
The blaze happened in the Ballyblack Road area of Newtownards at around 10pm on Wednesday, 01 November.
The PSNI said the caravan was "completely destroyed".
Emergency services attended the scene and put the blaze out.
The fire is being treated as suspicious and police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

ASSEMBLY CREATE AWARD TO HONOUR FIRE SERVICE
THE Northern Ireland Fire Service is to receive the first ever award given by the province's devolved assembly. An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.

Police Seek Information Following Mourne Mountain Blaze
Police are continuing to appeal for information following a large-scale blaze in Newcastle at the foot of the Mourne Mountains on Sunday 21 April. More than 50 firefighters tackled the fire throughout the night, with guests at the nearby Bonnys Caravan Park and residents living on the Tullybrannigan Road evacuated.

'You've Got The Wrong Brother' Says Man Up In Court
A man in the dock of Londonderry Magistrates Court today claimed he was actually the accused's brother. Martin Michael McDonagh, of Daisyfield caravan site, Letterkenny Road, faces 10 offences including having a .22 rifle. But when the court clerk asked the man in the dock today to confirm his name, he said he was Ned McDonagh, Martin's brother.

There has been a second water-based tragedy this weekend with police divers recovering the body of a man from Lough Erne in County Fermanagh in the early hours of Monday morning. The recovery followed reports that a 19-year-old had gone missing while swimming with friends near Castlearchdale Caravan Park.
