Police appeal following weekend attacks
Police have appealed for information following two separate attacks at the weekend.
In Co Tyrone a teenager was abducted and beaten by four masked men at around 5.30pm on Saturday. The victim was walking along Woodview Crescent in Trillick when he was set upon by the men.
They dragged him into a white Transit van and drove him to a farm outhouse where they proceeded to beat him. He was later dumped at Armstrong's Cross. He then had to make his way back to Trillick on foot, where he reported the incident to the police.
He suffered cuts and bruises during the assault.
Elsewhere, a 40-year-old man was assaulted at his home in Co Down on Saturday.
Three masked men entered the man's home at Ashgrove in Newtownards at about 9pm on Saturday. They proceeded to beat the man with baseball bats before assaulting a second man in his 20's who was also in the house.
A number of shots are believed to have been fired before the three masked men left the property.
It is understood that no-one was injured by the shots.

Man beaten with iron bar at home
A man has been beaten with an iron bar at his home in Markethill, Co Armagh. The man, who is believed to be in his 60's, was asleep with his wife when three men burst into his bedroom and struck him on the head. They then ransacked the house and made off with a sum of money.

Four Men Arrested Over Explosive Device In West Belfast Released
Four men arrested in connection with an explosive device in west Belfast last year have been released from custody. The device was found in the Pantridge Road area on 30 October. Three men arrested under the Terrorism Act have been released unconditionally.

Guns stolen in Co Antrim assault
Police are appealing for information after a gang assaulted a man and stole his guns in Co Antrim. The masked men forced their way into the man's home in Burnbrae in Bushmills at around 1.30am on Tuesday morning. They hit the man before tying his hands behind his back and escaping with three guns.

Co Fermanagh man suffers broken nose in robbery
A Co Fermanagh man has suffered a broken nose after being assaulted by two men at his home in Enniskillen. The 65-year-old man was confronted by two men who forced their way into his home on Sunday. They then assaulted him before robbing his home. It is understood that a sum of money was taken during the robbery.

Derry Man Badly Beaten
Details of a brutal Co Londonderry assault last weekend have only now emerged. The victim, Aidan Boyle's ankle was broken in two places, his leg fractured and his eye injured in the attack that took place at Lisnagelvin playing fields last Sunday.
