Sinn Fein Can't Have their Cake And Eat It - UUP

Ulster Unionist MEP, Jim Nicholson, has stated that if Sinn Fein doesn't like the Secretary of State representing Northern Ireland in Brussels, then the solution lies in their own hands.

He said: "I note that today we saw another dose of faux outrage in the Northern Ireland press from Sinn Fein about the Secretary of State representing Northern Ireland in Brussels. The clue is in the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland`s title and while Gerry Adams continues to hold the country to ransom, what does he expect James Brokenshire to do?

"The Secretary of State should continue to represent Northern Ireland's interests in Brussels alongside MEPs such as myself who have the best interests of Northern Ireland and its people at heart. If Sinn Fein aren`t happy with that then the solution lies in their own hands. They need to get off their high horse and agree to get the Northern Ireland Assembly and an Executive back in place again.

"Sinn Fein can`t have their cake and eat it."
