Man Attacked In Co L'Derry
A man, aged in his 40s, has been seriously injured following an attack in Co L'Derry.
The assault happened on the Garvagh Road in Dungiven in the early hours of Sunday, 12 November.
The man sustained severe head injuries and is being treated in hospital.
A 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grevious bodily harm.
He has been detained in police custody.
Detective Sergeant Gary Moore said: "I believe that there were a number of people in the area at the time of this incident and I would ask anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information which could assist our investigation into this serious assault which has left a man in hospital with very serious head injuries to contact detectives in Coleraine on 101 quoting reference number 49 12/11/17 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Police 'Seriously Concerned' For Missing Man David Duprey
Police are seriously concerned for the welfare of missing man David Duprey. Mr Duprey, 61, was last seen in Craigavon Area Hospital in Co Armagh at 9am on Wednesday. Police are urging the public to contact them if they have seen Mr Duprey as he needs "urgent medical treatment".

Carrickfergus head injuries victim in hospital
A man has been taken to hospital following what is believed to be an assault in County Antrim. The man, who has not been named, was discovered unconscious at McKeen’s Avenue in Carrickfergus. Detectives understand the man was assaulted. He was taken to hospital suffering head injuries. The incident was reported shortly after 7am this morning.

Man in hospital after Magherafelt assault
A 23-year-old man is being treated in hospital following an assault in Magherfelt at the weekend. The attack is understood to have taken place in the Diamond and Market Street area of the town at around 1.20am on Sunday. The victim sustained injuries to his head during the incident and is currently receiving treatment in hospital.
