Two Motorists Caught Driving 130mph On M2

Police have caught two motorists driving at speeds of around 130mph in Belfast.

Officers from Roads Policing were patrolling the M2 in the early hours of Monday morning, 13 November.

Police believe the drivers were racing and caught them driving at speeds of around 130mph.

A spokesperson said: "Both vehicles were stopped and now the drivers will have to explain their actions to the local district judges.

"Frost was in the air and roads were damp. Just because the F1 race was on tv earlier, this does not mean that it can be emulated on the public roads. Please keep the racing to race tracks and not open public roads."
