Warning As Youths Launch 'Missiles' At Traffic
Youths as young as age 12 or 13 were among those who launched "missiles" at traffic in north Belfast, police have said.
Officers took to social media to issue a warning about the "reckless" behaviour after a weekend of antisocial incidents in the area.
Cars travelling in the Shore Road and Greencastle area as well as on the M2 were targeted with objects throughout the weekend, with some young people involved believed to be just 12 or 13 years of age.
The windscreens of a train and one vehicle were smashed as a result.
Police hit out at those responsible and said the incident had the potential to cause a serious traffic collision.
"This kind of behaviour is totally reckless - imagine driving along at motorway speeds and suddenly having a brick come through your windscreen," a spokesperson said.
"It was fortunate that this situation didn't result in a collision."

Teenage boy dies after road traffic accident
A 14-year-old boy has been killed in a road traffic accident in County Tyrone. The boy, who has been named as Hugh McDonald from Innishmore Park in Coalisland, was riding a bike on the Mullanahoe Road, Ardboe, when he was struck by a Toyota car on Monday April 1.

Pedestrian Dies Following Road Traffic Collision Ikn West Belfast
A female pedestrian in her 70s has tragically died following a road traffic collision in west Belfast on Saturday, 9th November. The incident occurred on Hannahstown Hill shortly after 6:50pm when two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle. Emergency services attended the scene, and the injured pedestrians were taken to hospital.

M1 Collision Causes Traffic Delays In Belfast
A crash on the M1, which occurred at about 8am this morning and closed two lanes, has now been cleared. The collision happened on the inside lane of the M1 between Stockmans Lane and Broadway. There have been no reports of any injuries. Two lanes of the motorway were closed and caused significant traffic delays across the city.

55 Lives Lost In NI Road Collisions In 2018
A total of 55 people tragically lost their life on Northern Ireland's roads in 2018, it has emerged in the Provisional PSNI Road Death Statistics. The figure is down eight, from 63 in 2017, but the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) is appealing to drivers to 'Share the Road to Zero'.
