Two Men Arrested Following Searches Across NI
Two men have been arrested after police carried out searches across Northern Ireland and seized items including thousands of cigarettes.
The PSNI carried out raids in Belfast, L'Derry, Dundonald and Banbridge in conjunction with the HMRC and FACT on Wednesday, 06 December.
Detectives investigating organised criminal activity seized over 8,000 cigarettes, 2.9kg of rolling tobacco, 232 cigars, 50 illegal streaming devices and around £5,000 in cash.
A 48-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud in the Galliagh area. He has been released on bail pending further enquiries.
A 31-year-old man was also detained in the Dundonald area on suspicion of conspiracy to defraud and possessing articles for use in fraud and is currently helping with police enquiries.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

A man arrested following an assault in Lisburn has been released on bail pending further enquiries, according to the PSNI. The 21-year-old was arrested following an incident in the Rathvarna Drive and Beechwood Grove area at around 1.30am on Tuesday, 12 July.

Man Arrested Under Terrorism Act
A man has been arrested under the Terrorism Act in Co Tyrone. The 34-year-old was detained in the Coalisland area on Tuesday, 19 June. He is currently in custody at Musgrave police station. The arrest is in relation to a weapons and ammunition find at a garage in the Mountjoy Road in 2011.

A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident at a house in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. It happened at a property on Knockantern Grove in the Mountsandel area on Tuesday, 16 August. The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of possessing of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an offence and assault on police.

Teenager Arrested After Murder In County Down
Police are treating the death of a man following an assault in County Down over the weekend as murder. The 32-year-old was attacked in Portaferry, shortly after midnight on Sunday. It is believed the victim was from Killyleagh. A 19-year-old has been arrested and taken to Musgrave police station in Belfast for questioning on suspicion of murder.
