Alliance Condemns Armed Robbery In Omagh
The Alliance Party has hit out after a man, armed with a hammer, robbed a petrol station in Omagh on Sunday, 10 December.
The incident happened at Culmore Service Station at around 7.15pm.
The man demanded a staff member to hand over money and made off with a sum of cash.
The suspect was wearing a grey tracksuit, grey hoodie, black gloves and a scarf over his face.
Alliance West Tyrone representative Stephen Donnelly condemned the incident.
He said: "While I am relieved no-one was physically hurt during the crime, the use of a hammer in this robbery is particularly sinister, and will have no doubt left the staff affected deeply shaken.
"I am urging anyone who was in the Dromore Road vicinity on Sunday night around 7.15 pm, and who have information pertinent to the investigation, to come forward and cooperate fully with the PSNI so the individual responsible for this can be held accountable for their actions."
