Man Assaulted In Newtownabbey
A man has been injured after being assaulted by a gang in Newtownabbey.
The attack happened outside a bar in the Antrim Road area in the early hours of Monday morning, 01 January.
The 25-year-old victim has been left with a fractured eye socket and sustained injuries to his head, hands and body.
He managed to escape and a relative took him to hospital.
Police said all but one of the attackers were clean-shaven with short hair. One male is believed to have been wearing a coat with a fur hood and another wore glasses.
The PSNI are appealing for witnesses to contact them.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A man has been charged to court after a disturbance at a business in Newtownabbey. On Sunday 28 July, shortly after 10am, police received a report of a man being abusive towards and throwing items at staff at a shop in the Abbott's Cross area.

Body of man found on outskirts of Belfast
The body of a man has been found at a flat in the outskirts of Belfast, it has emerged today. The discovery of the 47-year-old's body was made at the flat in the Rathcoole estate, Newtownabbey, shortly after 9pm on Thursday. The police and ambulance service were immediately called to the scene, however it is not yet known how the man died.

Two Men Assaulted In Newtownabbey
Two men, aged in their 50s, have sustained head injuries after being assaulted during a break-in at a house in Newtownabbey. The attack happened at a house in the Clonmore Walk area at around 8.30pm on Saturday, 06 January. Three men armed with baseball bats smashed a window of the property and attacked the men.
