Investigation Launched After Car Set On Fire In Belfast
Police have launched an investigation after a vehicle was set on fire in south Belfast.
The incident happened in the Stranmillis Embankment area on Tuesday, 13 February.
Police received reports that a grey Volkswagen Polo, which had been parked in the area, was set on fire.
The Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service put out the blaze, however the inside of the car was destroyed.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

ASSEMBLY CREATE AWARD TO HONOUR FIRE SERVICE

An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.

The Home Fire Safety Check coincides with Fire Safety Week, which runs from September 30th to October 6th. The initiative aims to reduce the number of house fires in Northern Ireland.

Police have launched an investigation after a car was set on fire in east Belfast. The blaze happened in the Short Strand area at around 2.45am on Sunday. Police believe a petrol bomb may have been used. A PSNI spokesperson said: "At this time it appears a petrol bomb may have been thrown inside the vehicle.

Vehicles Vandalised In South Belfast
Jerusalem Street in the Holylands area of Belfast remains sealed off this morning after vandals set fire to a number of cars. Police and the Fire and Rescue Service were called shortly after 3.30am to the area, where they found two vehicles had been completely burnt out and another extensively damaged after being set on fire. Earlier, at around 10.
