Appeal Issued Over Hit-And-Run Collision In Dungannon
Police are appealing for information after a woman was left badly injured in a hit-and-run collision in Dungannon.
The incident happened in the Quarry Lane area close to a police station on Thursday, 08 February.
Police are trying to identify a man driving a red car who stopped to help the woman, but then left the scene.
The victim sustained a cracked vertebrae, leg injuries and severe bruising.
Posting on the PSNI Dungannon and South Tyrone Facebook page police said that the elderly woman had been crossing at the top of Quarry Lane towards the South Tyrone Hospital when a vehicle "collided with her in the middle of the road".

The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

An investigation has launched after a fire in Dungannon left a car "completely gutted". Police received a report of a fire in the Old English Road shortly before 11pm on Tuesday, 13 April. The PSNI attended the scene and are working to establish the cause of the fire. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Sexual Assault In Dungannon
A woman has been the victim of a serious sexual attack in Dungannon, Co Tyrone. Police say the attack occurred in the early hours of this morning. The woman, who is understood to be in her 30s, was attacked near the Wilson's Lane area in the town centre. Police are investigating the incident.

One Killed In Serious Motorway Crash
One person has died and another seriously injured following a two-vehicle crash on the M1 near Dungannon, County Tyrone. The crash, between a car and a lorry, happened just after 5pm on Monday. The motorway was closed in both directions, however it has now re-opened. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.
