Former SDLP MLA Tommy Gallagher Injured In Fermanagh Crash
A former SDLP Assembly member is currently receiving hospital treatment following a serious road crash in Co Fermanagh.
Mr Tommy Gallagher, aged 75, was involved in a collision between a car and a lorry between Kesh and the Boa Island Road on Monday afternoon, 12 March.
He was airlifted to hospital and it is believed he underwent treatment for his injuries.
SDLP Leader Colum Eastwood MLA said: "We were all shocked to hear Tommy was involved in such a serious crash yesterday. My understanding is that he has sustained some serious injuries as a result and is currently in hospital following treatment.
"Tommy represents the heart and soul of the SDLP, he's known to members across the North and continues to play an important role in the party. The thoughts of all our members are with him and Eileen and we wish them a speedy recovery."

Work Underway For Free Hospital Parking In Northern Ireland
Work has begun at several hospital sites across Northern Ireland as part of the preparations for the introduction of free car parking in May 2026. Health and Social Care Trusts have been actively preparing for the implementation of a new traffic management system since the Hospital Parking Charges Act was passed in 2022.
