Eddie Jones Apologises Over 'Scummy Irish' Remark

England Head Coach Eddie Jones and the Rugby Football Union has apologised after a video emerged of him referring to "the scummy Irish" during a speech last year.

He also described Wales as a "little s*** place" at a sponsored talk in July 2017.

Jones said he was "very sorry" after the video emerged.

He said: "No excuses, and I shouldn't have said what I did. I'm very sorry."

Friday Was The 'Hottest Day Of The Year'
New figures released by the MET Office reveal Friday (19 July) was NI's hottest day of the year so far. Castlederg in Co Tyrone recorded a temperature of 30.1C. However, it wasn't the highest temperature in the UK, with Porthmadog in Wales reaching 31.4C.
