Fresh Appeal Issued After Man Found With Gunshot Wound In Moneymore
Police investigating the attempted murder of a man who was found slumped in a car with a gunshot wound to his head in Moneymore have made a fresh appeal for information.
The incident happened on the Carndaisy Road at around 9.50pm on Friday, 09 March.
The 22-year-old man was discovered by a passer-by inside a blue BMW.
Detective Chief Inspector Will Tate said: "Following extensive enquiries and medical reports, we have been able to confirm the man sustained a gunshot to his head. He remains in hospital in a critical condition.
"The incident is being treated as attempted murder at this time."
The PSNI are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

While police are investigating the shooting of a 23-year-old man - wounded in County Armagh last night, a man (27) has been arrested in connection with a murder that occurred almost a year ago, in Londonderry. Pub doorman Brian McGlynn, (28) was shot dead at his home in the Fountain Hill area of the Waterside in June 2007.
