300 Jobs To Be Lost With Carpetright Store Closures

A total of 300 jobs are to be lost with the closure of 92 Carpetright stores, as part of a "restructuring plan" announced by the retailer.

The company has said that it is planning to implement a company voluntary arrangement (CVA) which it hopes will see it closing their worst-performing stores, while also seeking rent concessions on another 113 sites.

Carpetright said that is has been struggling with underperforming stores, which has lead to it being unable to meet the demands of rental costs.
