Number Of Arrests Made In Paramilitary Crime Task Force Operation
Seven people have been arrested as part of an operation by the Paramilitary Crime Task Force across Belfast.
A 32-year-old man arrested on Friday, 13 April, has been charged with brothel keeping and concealing criminal property. He is expected to appear at Belfast Magistrates court today, Monday 16 April.
A 22-year-old woman arrested later on Friday as part of the same operation, has also been charged with controlling prostitution and brothel keeping. She is also expected to appear at Belfast Magistrates court on Monday.
A 48-year-old man arrested in connection with alleged trafficking and controlling prostitution offences has been released pending a report to the PPS.
Detectives conducting the operation, which focuses on the activities of the INLA, on Saturday arrested a 55-year-old man in the greater Belfast area under terrorism legislation. Three other men detained on Friday under terrorism legislation remain in custody.
A total of seven people were arrested as part of this operation, three in connection with alleged offences related to controlling prostitution and four under the Terrorism Act.

Four Arrests Follow Assault Rifle Discovery
Police have arrested four men after an assault rifle and ammunition were discovered in a vehicle in Belfast. The men were detained and have been taken to Antrim police station for questioning. The arrests have been made in relation to dissident republican activity.

A court appearance is pending for three men who have been charged with membership of the outlawed Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF). The trio - aged 32, 40 and 60 - have also been charged in connection with a pipe bomb attack on a house in Larne seven years ago. A fourth man arrested has been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

Five arrests follow customs fuel operations
Five arrests have been made relating to two separate customs fuel operations in the past week. In the first operation last Wednesday investigators assisted by police uncovered around 18,500 litres of suspected illegal fuel at five different premises in Belfast and North Down.
