Arson attack destroys DPP woman's car
A car belonging to a member of the District Policing Partnership in Armagh has been destroyed in an arson attack.
The incident occurred outside the woman's house in the Wayside area of Tandragee at around 2.30am on Wednesday.
Condemning the incident, Chairman of the Policing Board, Professor Desmond Rea, said: "This was a despicable attack on a this member DPP which is totally condemned by the Policing Board. All members of every DPP work for the benefit of the whole community and their work and contribution is invaluable."
Professor Rea confirmed that a meeting of the Community Involvement Committee of the Board on Wednesday morning would discuss the incident.
Danny Kennedy, the Ulster Unionist Assembly member for Newry and Armagh, also condemned the attack.
He said: “The suspected arson attack in Tandragee is utterly disgraceful. There is no place in decent society for those who would seek to intimidate and terrorise anyone.
“The work of DPPs is essential and those who offer themselves to the community to help tackle policing issues are to be applauded.”

Home of DPP member targeted
The home of a Co Tyrone District Policing Partnership (DPP) member has been targeted for the second time in six months on Monday. Strabane DPP member Tom McBride had just returned to his home near Plumbridge on Monday when he carefully opened a padded envelope, which he considered to be susupicious, to find an incendiary device inside.

DPP member resigns over death threat
An independent member of the Fermanagh District Policing Partnership (DPP) has been forced to resign after receiving a death from dissident republicans. Mr Cathal O'Dolan resigned on Thursday after a threat was made on his life in a call to a local newspaper earlier in the week.

DPP member refuses to resign following attack
An independent member of Strabane's District Policing Partnership (DPP) has refused to resign her position despite an attack on a car at her home in Co Tyrone last night. Last night's attack against Mary McCrea was the second such incident within weeks after a suspect package was left outside her Sion Mills last month.
