Renewed Appeal After Explosive Device Thrown At A House In East Belfast
The PSNI have renewed their appeal for information after an explosive device packed with nails was thrown at a property in east Belfast.
The "crudely-made" device was thrown at a property in the Bloomfield Road area on Friday, 18 May.
The device partially exploded and a woman who was in the house at the time was not injured but was left shaken.
PSNI Sergeant Rory McPhillips said: "Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area around the time of the attack should contact detectives at Musgrave by calling the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1633 of 18/5/18. We would particularly like to hear from anyone who saw two males riding mountain bikes in the area around the time of the incident. We believe they may have information that could help our investigation. They are described as being on dark-coloured bikes and wearing dark clothes with their hoods up and faces covered. They may also have been wearing workmen’s gloves. They were seen riding off towards the Grand Parade area."

Police Seize 16 Petrol Bombs In West Belfast
Police have seized 16 petrol bombs in west Belfast. The bombs were found in the Colinview Street area earlier this week. One petrol bomb was also thrown at officers at Lanarark Way on Monday, 11 July, while they were standing with a crowd of people including small children. Fortunately the device failed to ignite.

Families escape injury in separate pipe-bomb attacks
Families in two houses in Co Antrim and Co Londonderry have been attacked with pipe bombs last night. Two people escaped injury when a device was thrown at their house at Brown's Bay Road in Islandmagee, Co Antrim. The device, thrown through a kitchen window, failed to explode.

Police have launched an investigation after a petrol bomb was thrown at a van in Larne which caused "severe damage" to the vehicle and two properties it was parked outside. The PSNI said after 4.30am on 25 July a petrol bomb was thrown at a vehicle in the Churchill Road area of the town.
