Two Men Stable After Slurry Incident In L'Derry

Two men are being treated in hospital following an incident with a slurry tank at a farm in L'Derry.

Emergency services attended the scene in the Claudy area at around 4pm on Saturday, 16 June.

The men are believed to be aged in their 40s and 70s.

The Health & Safety Executive has launched an investigation.

An investigation has been launched after burglars stole medication from a house in Co L'Derry. The incident happened in the Galliagh Park area just after 1am on Tuesday, 01 May. The occupant was threatened at knifepoint and the suspects made off with cash and medication.

Appeal For Information On Aggravated Burglary In Cookstown
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a report of an aggravated burglary at the Queens Avenue area of Cookstown on Friday 3rd February. Shortly after 10pm, it was reported that four masked men entered a property in the area with one of the men armed with an iron bar and another man armed with a suspected firearm.

Funerals of slurry victims take place
The funerals have taken place of the two men who died when a slurry container burst open at a farm in Co Down on Tuesday . Kenny Blair, 33, was buried after a service at Finvoy Presbyterian Church in Ballymoney while 21-year-old friend James Wilson was also buried after a service at his home in Cloughmills.

Two men killed in slurry incident named
The two workers killed following an incident involving a container of slurry in Co Down have been named. The two men, Robert James Wilson, 21, of Cloughmills, and James Kenneth Blair, 33, of Rasharkin, were working on a farm at Ballela, near Katesbridge when the container burst.

Shop Worker Attacked In L'Derry
Police are appealing for information after a shop worker was attacked and threatened in L'Derry. The incident happened at a shop on the Temple Road in Strathfoyle Village at around 9.30pm on Saturday, 14 July. The worker was hit on the head and threatened at knifepoint. Paramedics treated the victim at the scene.
