Man Hit By Glass Bottle In West Belfast

Police have launched an investigation after a man was hit on the head with a glass bottle by youths in west Belfast.

The incident happened as the car was travelling on the Suffolk Road at around 8pm on Tuesday, 07 August.

The bottle also broke the victim's car window and he had to drive himself to hospital to be treated.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

The driver of a stolen car has been arrested after police caught him with a bottle of wine in his hand. Members of the public reported that the car was being driven dangerously in Ballymena. Officers from the Armed Response Unit (ARU) stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver and passenger.

Man Arrested After Police Car Chase In West Belfast
A man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a police car chase in west Belfast. The PSNI saw a red Volkswagen driving in the Beechmount area with no lights on. They signalled for the vehicle to stop, however a pursuit commenced onto the Falls Road where it was stung by other officers from the auto crime team.

Two children injured in bottle attack
Police are appealing for information after two children were injured in a bottle attack. The children, aged five and just 15 weeks, sustained cuts to the face and ear after a bottle was thrown through the window of the car they were travelling in.
