Electric Ireland Announces Price Rise Of 13.3%
Electric Ireland has confirmed it is increasing its prices by 13.3%.
The price rise will come into effect from 01 October this year.
The firm said it is due to "sustained increases in wholesale energy prices".
Clare McAllister, Sales and Marketing Manager, Electric Ireland commented: "Electric Ireland is committed to keeping prices as low as possible. It has been a difficult decision to make, but the wholesale costs required to supply electricity are continuing to rise and we have had to re-evaluate our pricing as a result of these increasing costs."
