Belfast And Lisburn Flooding Causes Serious Delays
Flooding on roads across Belfast and Lisburn is causing knock-on delays to traffic.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain between 7am and 7pm today, Wednesday 07 November.
Police are urging motorists to slow down because of "difficult driving conditions out there due to rain".
A spokesperson said: "Lots of surface water and spray. Please, slow down and keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front of you."
Drivers are being advised to avoid the Dunadry Road in Antrim, which police have said is completely impassable.
There have also been reports of flooding in south Belfast and the Hillhall Road, Lisburn, causing further tailbacks.
Traffic Watch NI have issued advice on roads suffering heavy traffic.
A further yellow weather warning for rain and wind has been issued for Friday 09 November. It will be in place between 9am and 9pm.
Spray and flooding on roads can be expected, and journey times will be longer than normal.
Bus and train services are also likely to be affected.

Over 800 young people from schools in Lisburn and Castlereagh attended a hard-hitting road safety message at the PSNI Road Safe Roadshow on 19 November. The roadshow, supported by AXA Insurance and the Northern Ireland Road Safety Partnership, aims to educate young drivers about the dangers of irresponsible driving.
