NI Defeated By Austria In Last Minute Goal

Northern Ireland suffered a defeat at the hands of Austria in Belfast on Sunday 18 November, when the visitors grabbed the winning goal in the last minute.

A Valentino Larozo goal in the last kick of the game won the Nations League clash for the away side at Windsor Park.

The hosts had appeared to be set for their first point of the competition when Corry Evans hit a 57th-minute equaliser after Xaver Schlager's goal eight minutes earlier.

Northern Ireland have lost all four matches in the new Uefa competition.

Despite knowing they were relegated from the Nations League Group B3 before Sunday's kick-off, Michael O'Neill's side had hoped to end 2018 on a high.
