Sinn Fein: Democratic Unionists Are 'Catastrophically Wrong' On Brexit
Sinn Fein President Mary Lou McDonald has condemned the DUP's stance on Brexit as being "catastrophically wrong".
Speaking outside Laganside Courts while attending the Ballymurphy Massacre inquest with the party's Deputy Leader Michelle O'Neill on Monday 19 November, Mrs McDonald said: "It is now very clear that the DUP called it absolutely wrong on Brexit by advancing a reckless position that absolutely disregards people's livelihoods, job prospects and the cohesion and stability of our peace arrangements.
"They're wrong about the draft agreement. It's not perfect but it is certainly a baseline to protect our economic interests and agreements."
Mrs McDonald also reiterated the calls of key business leaders from both Northern Ireland and the Republic, who have supported the draft deal and expressed dissent to the DUP's position.
"Now is the time to ensure that the bottom lines around no hard border, the protection of the Good Friday Agreement and citizens' rights are met.
"This is vital to protect everybody who lives and works on the island of Ireland."

Pharmacist Sentenced For Drug Offences
A 27-year-old pharmacist from Belfast has been sentenced to 180 hours of community service for unlawfully possessing and stealing controlled prescription drugs. Adam Hanna pleaded guilty to charges under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 and the Theft Act 1969. The offences took place at a North Belfast pharmacy between January and March 2024.

Work Underway For Free Hospital Parking In Northern Ireland
Work has begun at several hospital sites across Northern Ireland as part of the preparations for the introduction of free car parking in May 2026. Health and Social Care Trusts have been actively preparing for the implementation of a new traffic management system since the Hospital Parking Charges Act was passed in 2022.

The man is accused of assault causing harm, coercive control, contravention of a safety order, theft, and possession of a weapon.
