More Security Staff For Belfast International Airport
A recruitment process has been launched to boost the number of security staff at Belfast International Airport, in a bid to combat delays.
Passengers have reported long security queues in recent months which have been attributed to a shortage in staff.
Wilson James, a company that specialises in aviation security, took over at the beginning of November and is set to hire 50 employees to improve the service.
Over the summer, the airport urged passengers to "err on the side of caution" and arrive two hours before flights due to "unprecedented" numbers of people passing through the airport.
An improved pay deal has also been announced which will raise pay rates across the whole of the security contract.
