Children Left Terrified In West Belfast Burglary

A west Belfast family has been left shaken after masked men with a suspected gun broke into their home.

It is believed as many as three people ransacked the house in Lagmore Drive on Monday evening.

Three young children were at home when it happened.

The gang made off with the family's blue BMW, which was found nearby on Dunmurry Lane later that evening.

Sinn Fein councillor Danny Baker said the gang who terrorised the family are dangerous and despicable and must be taken off the streets.

"The family have been left deeply traumatised by this terrible ordeal. Neighbours and the community have rallied around them.

"Local people are shocked and angry that a family has been terrorised in this way especially when we are in the mouth of the festive season. I would appeal to anyone with any information on those responsible for this awful crime to bring it forward to the police."
