PSNI Release E-fit Of Men Who Misled Woman To Gain Entry To Her Home

Police are appealing for help in identifying two men who posed as gas workers to gain entry to a woman's home in Newtownards.

The pair reportedly called at a property in Manor Court on Friday 04 January, claiming to have been sent to check the gas.

After allowing both men into her home, the woman noticed that two sets of keys were missing when they left.

Along with the e-fit images, the police released descriptions of both men.

The first is described as a Caucasian male, around 5'9" to 5'10" tall and in his 30's. He is of medium build, with a Northern Irish accent, stubble, and blond/gingery coloured hair. He is believed to have been sporting a black bomber style jacket with a folded down collar that was zipped up.

The second suspect is also a Caucasian male, roughly in his 40's or 50's, of medium build and approximately 5'4" or 5'5" tall. Also speaking with a Northern Irish accent, his hair was grey in colour, with a very pale complexion and wearing a navy workman's stye jacket with a stand-up collar zipped up.

A spokesperson, writing on the PSNI's Ards Facebook page said: "If you recognise these two males either call 101, Crimestoppers on 0800555111 or send us a Private Message, Crime reference CC2019010400884 refers."
