Travel Disruption Across NI After Further Snowfall Overnight

Snow and ice across Northern Ireland has caused traffic chaos this morning, 23 January.

Motorists have been urged to allow extra time for their journeys, as the first snowfall of winter blanketed the country on Tuesday evening.

A yellow weather warning for ice remains in place across the region until 11am, with drivers warned to take care on their travels.

Millquarter Primary School in Toomebridge closed its doors today due to adverse weather, while the Finvoy Road in Ballymoney has been closed near the Burnquarter Road junction due to a collision.

The PSNI also issued a reminder to motorists to reduce their speed and take extra caution while driving.
