Met Office Issues New Weather Warning For NI
Another weather warning will soon be active across Northern Ireland as snow sweeps the UK.
Ice and wintry showers are expected to continue, with the fresh alert coming into force at 5pm today, 30 January, until 11am on Thursday.
Snow is expected to cause further traffic delays, especially during rush hour, and travel delays at airports are likely.
Drivers are being urged to take care on the roads and allow extra time for journeys.
Melting snow is expected to re-freeze with further heavy showers possible this evening and overnight.

Roads Service Ready For Winter Weather
Infrastructure Minister John O'Dowd has confirmed that the Department's winter service team is prepared to tackle the current cold snap. Around 300 staff and 130 gritters are ready to salt main roads, while 12 snow blowers are available for deployment if necessary. The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning from 6pm on Tuesday as snow and icy conditions are expected to continue into Wednesday morning. Heavy showers are expected this evening with snow on high ground, and strong to gale force winds.

Heavy snow showers affect whole of NI
Heavy snow showers have affected many parts of Northern Ireland overnight and there is a Met Office severe weather warning in force. Snow depths ranged from one inch to six inches with many schools closing for the day because of the dangerous conditions.

A new Yellow Warning has been issued for wind and snow on Wednesday and Thursday this week, covering counties Antrim, Tyrone, Fermanagh, and Londonderry. The Met Office has said that temperatures are set to "drop sharply" on Wednesday evening with snow showers developing throughout the evening.
