North Belfast Woman Injured As Masked Gang Burgle Home
A woman has been injured in an aggravated burglary in north Belfast.
It was reported that four masked men entered her home in Chestnut Gardens off the Cliftonville Road at a round 7pm on Wednesday 30 January.
The 39-year-old woman was injured on the right side of her face as her property was ransacked and a number of items were stolen.
PSNI Detective Sergeant Gardiner said: "At around 7pm, it was reported that four masked men entered a house in the area with one man armed with a suspected firearm.
"The males were described as being in their late 20's/ early 30's with local accents and wearing dark clothing.
"Enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone with any information to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 1399 30/1/19.
"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."

Three masked men entered a pensioners home in south Belfast and stole cash and a car. The incident occurred in the Ailesbury Drive area on Wednesday night. At around 10.30pm, a man answered the door of his home and three masked men entered and demanded money. They made off with a sum of money and also stole their silver Toyota Avensis.

Workers at a shop in Co Antrim have been left shaken after three masked men entered the premises in an armed robbery. Three masked men, believed to be arraying suspected firearms, entered the shop on the Harbour Road in Carnlough, and threatened staff members just before 11pm on Thursday, 06 July.

The gang, who were armed with crowbars, also ransacked the property in the Greenhill Road area in Ballymoney between 8.15pm and 8.30pm on Monday, 16 November, and made off with a sum of cash. The men assaulted the man and woman inside the house.

Pedestrian Injured In Belfast Hit-and-Run
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a hit-and-run incident in the Botanic Avenue area of Belfast in the early hours of Thursday morning. Officers were called to the scene shortly before 1.30am after a male pedestrian was struck by a maroon Mazda. Despite being injured, the pedestrian left the area before police arrived.
