West Belfast Shop Robbed By Men Armed With Hammer And Metal Pole

A shop in west Belfast has been robbed and an employee threatened by two armed men.

The incident happened at a commercial premises in the Durham Street area at around 6.05pm on Thursday 07 February.

A female staff member was threatened before the culprits fled with cash towards the Divis Bridge area.

She was uninjured but left badly shaken, according to Detective Sergeant Gardiner.

Both males are described as being of heavy build and wearing navy hooded tops, with one having distinctive writing on his left sleeve.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing, and anyone who witnessed the robbery is urged to contact detectives on non-emergency line 101 quoting reference number 1113 of 07/02/19.

The incident occurred on Hannahstown Hill shortly after 6:50pm when two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle.
