Search Ongoing For Missing Person In Downpatrick
The PSNI are conducting a search for a missing person in the Downpatrick area of County Down, with the help of the Irish Coast Guard.
The Dublin based Coast Guard Helicopter R116 is assisting the operation, following a request this morning from the UK Maritime Coastguard Agency.
The helicopter arrived on the scene shortly before first light at around 7am.
Belfast Coastguard is coordinating the helicopter search.
Interaction of this type is a regular feature of search and rescue cooperations between the UK and Irish authorities. This is the fourth request for Helicopter SAR support provided to NI authorities this year.

Irish Coast Guard Helicopter In Mournes Rescue
An Irish Coast Guard Helicopter was called in to winch an injured woman from the Mourne Mountains in County Down. The woman was injured in a fall on Slieve Beg on Sunday afternoon. It is understood that she suffered a broken ankle in the fall. On Saturday a party who had become lost in the Mournes were located by a rescue team at around 9pm.

Missing Diver's Body Found
The body of a diver missing off the Co Galway coast has been recovered this afternoon. The 42-year-old man was with three colleagues diving close to the entrance of Killary Harbour. They raised the alarm when the man failed to surface. Coast Guard, rescue teams, and the Garda diving unit were involved in the search operation.

Fishing Crew Airlifted From Drifting Boat
Five fisherman have been airlifted to safety after their vessel became stranded on rocks off the Co Down coast. A multi-agency task force attended the scene at Phennick Point outside Ardglass harbour in the early hours of Wednesday morning, 23 October. Crew on board the 24 metre vessel issued a Mayday call at around 5.
