Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Murdering Ian Ogle

A man has been arrested by detectives investigating the murder of 45-year-old Ian Ogle in east Belfast on Sunday 27 January.

The 40-year-old was detained in Belfast today, Tuesday 12 March, on suspicion of murder.

He is currently being questioned at Musgrave Police Station by detectives from the Major Investigation Team.

Mr Ogle, a father of two, suffered 11 stab wounds and a fractured skull when he was attacked just yards from his home in Cluan Place.

Detective Chief Inspector Peter McKenna reiterated his appeal for witnesses to the "horrific" and "brutal" murder.

"His family deserve justice," he added.

Pedestrian Dies Following Road Traffic Collision Ikn West Belfast
A female pedestrian in her 70s has tragically died following a road traffic collision in west Belfast on Saturday, 9th November. The incident occurred on Hannahstown Hill shortly after 6:50pm when two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle. Emergency services attended the scene, and the injured pedestrians were taken to hospital.

Two Charged With Murdering Owen Creaney
Two people have been charged with the murder of Owen Creaney. Mr Creaney, 40, who has been described as "frail and vulnerable" by police, was found in a wheelie bin at a property in the Craigavon area on Saturday (5 July). Following the discovery, detectives arrested a man, aged 27, and a 23-year-old woman in connection with the incident.

Ian Ogle Investigation: Man Arrested At Heathrow
Police investigating the brutal murder of east Belfast community worker Ian Ogle have arrested a man on suspicion of murder. The 33-year-old was detained at Heathrow Airport on Wednesday evening, 06 February, before being transferred to Musgrave Police Station in Belfast.
