North Belfast Shop Targeted By Men Armed With Knife

Staff at a north Belfast shop have been left shaken after two men, one armed with a knife, threatened to rob the premises this morning, 13 March.

The culprits entered the shop on the Antrim Road at around 6.45am and threatened staff before fleeing the scene empty handed.

No-one was injured in the incident.

One of the men is described as being between 5'8" and 5'10" tall and of large build. He was wearing a burgundy, white and grey coloured Adidas top with white stripes down the sleeves, grey track bottoms and black and grey Nike Air Max trainers.

The second man is described as being between 5'6" and 5'8" tall and of slim build. He was wearing a dark grey coloured Trespass jacket with a hood, balaclava, grey track bottoms and light and grey Nike Air Max trainers.

Detective Sergeant McCallum is appealing for anyone who was in the area of Antrim Road close to Allworthy Avenue around the time of the incident, who may have saw the two men or anyone acting suspiciously, or anyone who witnessed the men as they fled from the scene to get in touch with detectives in Musgrave on 101 quoting reference 165 13/03/19.

Pedestrian Dies Following Road Traffic Collision Ikn West Belfast
A female pedestrian in her 70s has tragically died following a road traffic collision in west Belfast on Saturday, 9th November. The incident occurred on Hannahstown Hill shortly after 6:50pm when two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle. Emergency services attended the scene, and the injured pedestrians were taken to hospital.
