Armed robbery in north Belfast newsagents
Detectives in north Belfast have appealed for information following an armed robbery at a newsagents shop yesterday evening.
Shortly before 7.30pm, up to five men, wearing balaclavas and carrying guns, entered the premises in the New Lodge Road area of the city.
The gang ransacked the rear of the shop before making off in what is believed to have been a silver coloured car.
It is not yet known what the robbers took.
One of the men is described as being aged in his late 30s or early 40s, around 6 feet tall, well built and was wearing a dark coloured jacket.
Another of the men is described as being aged in his late 20s, around 5'10 in height, of medium build and was wearing a grey sweater with a dark coloured coat over it. There is no description of the other men.
Police have asked for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who may have any information in connection with it to contact them on 0845 600 8000 or anonymously on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Fast food van robbed at knifepoint
Police in Downpatrick are appealing for information after an armed robbery yesterday evening. Just before 8.30pm, two men, one armed with a knife, approached a fast food van on the Dundrum Road in Newcastle. The men threatened staff and demanded that they hand over a sum of cash.

Newsagent robbed in west Belfast
Police in west Belfast have appealed for information following a robbery at a newsagents at the weekend. Two men entered the shop on the Andersonstown Road at around 5.50pm on Saturday evening, and after a short time, one of the men jumped over the counter and stole the contents of two tills and a cash box.

Two men sought for Woodvale Park rape
Police are seeking two men in connection with a sexual assault in north Belfast on Monday evening. The incident happened shortly before 6pm in the Woodvale Park area of the city, when the victim, who is understood to be in her late teens, was attacked by two men. After a passer-by intervened the two men ran off.

Police appeal for information following possible abduction attempt
Police in County Tyrone have appealed for information following a possible abduction attempt yesterday evening. Two men are believed to have approached three children, two girls aged 12 and seven, and a boy aged ten outside a supermarket filling station on the Sweep Road at around 6pm.

Man Attacked And Robbed In L'Derry
A man has been attacked and robbed in Co L'Derry. The assault happened in the Rossville Street area in the early hours of Sunday morning, 24 July. Two men attacked the victim and stole a sum of cash from him. The man was not seriously injured, however police are appealing for information.
