Police Slam 'Reckless' Attacks On Public Transport
Police have hit out after two attacks on public transport in west Belfast when bricks were thrown through the windows of buses.
The incidents occurred on the evening of Wednesday 10 April between 5pm and 10pm in the Stewartstown Road and Lenadoon Avenue areas of the city.
Officers in the area highlighted the "reckless and dangerous" behaviour in a post on social media.
"It is extremely unfortunate that we are having to revisit this subject," the post read. "Putting the damage to the bus aside, which is in itself a serious matter, this behaviour is extremely dangerous to the passengers onboard our public transport system who could so easily have been showered in glass.
"THIS BEHAVIOUR MUST STOP!! It's stupid, it's dangerous, it's affecting the wider community, who's bus services are disrupted by these kind of actions. We will continue to try and deter these attacks and prevent them from happening in the first place."
Anyone who can identify the individuals involved is urged to contact police on 101 quoting reference 1025 of 09 April 2019.

RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) Northern Ireland, says that there has been a disproportionate allocation of funding for road building in Northern Ireland over other forms of transport.
