Pair Reported To PPS Over Damage To Election Posters

Two men arrested in County Down yesterday over criminal damage to election posters have been released pending a report to the PPS.

The 22 and 17-year-old were arrested on the Lurgan Road, Dromore on Wednesday 17 April by detectives investigating damage to posters the previous day.

After assisting police with enquiries while in custody, they have both been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.

Police in L'Derry have arrested three people and seized drugs worth an estimated £600. The arrests were made following a proactive policing operation in the city. On Monday, 18 November, officers observed suspicious behaviour from a 39-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman in the Strand Road area.
