Service Station Staff Threatened In Armed Robbery
Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a service station in Greenisland, County Antrim.
Two males armed with knives entered a business premises on the Upper Road at around 10.30pm on Sunday 28 April.
The suspects threatened staff and forced them to open the till before jumping over the counter and taking cash and a quantity of cigarettes. They then fled the scene in a vehicle that police believe was a blue Rover 25.
A Rover 25 was later found burnt out in the Townsend Street area of Belfast. It will now be subject to forensic examination.
One of the robbers is described as approximately 5'10" of medium build. He was wearing a balaclava, a black coat with a grey hood, black trainers and dark trousers with a high vis stripe on each leg.
The second individual is also described as around 5'10" and of medium build. He wore a black Adidas top with grey stripes with his hood pulled up and white trainers.
Police have appealed to anyone with information to contact them on 101 quoting reference 1272 28/04/19.

Petrol bombers besiege Lurgan police station
A crowd throwing bricks, bottles and petrol bombs attacked Lurgan police station at around 8.45pm last night. The disturbance followed in the wake of a banned Black Preceptory parade through the town, which the police were reportedly forced to allow through when a lorry driver refused to move his vehicle from a cordoned off area.

Detectives have renewed an appeal for information following a deliberate arson attack at a vacant property in the Weaver's Grange area of Newtownards. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, 17 November, 2023. Police and firefighters were called to the scene at around 12:40am.
