Shots Fired At North Belfast House

Police are investigating after a number of shots were fired at a family home in north Belfast.

A gang of males armed with baseball bats set upon a house in Jamaica Street overnight on Monday 13 May.

They attacked the house and smashed a number of windows. It was later reported that a number of shots may also have been fired at the property.

Occupants who were inside the address at the time were uninjured.

Detective Sergeant Corrigan said: "This was a reckless attack on a family home which could have resulted in the residents or their neighbours sustaining serious injury, or worse."

Anyone who was in the Jamaica Street area last night between 11.30pm and midnight, and who noticed any people or vehicles, is urged to get in touch on 101 quoting reference 1699 of 13/05/19.

Pedestrian Injured In Belfast Hit-and-Run
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a hit-and-run incident in the Botanic Avenue area of Belfast in the early hours of Thursday morning. Officers were called to the scene shortly before 1.30am after a male pedestrian was struck by a maroon Mazda. Despite being injured, the pedestrian left the area before police arrived.

Attempted Carjacking In West Belfast
Police are investigating an attempted carjacking in west Belfast on Tuesday, November 19th. At around 5:30pm, a man entered a parked car at Hillhead Court and attempted to steal it. A woman passenger was assaulted when she resisted the man's demands. The suspect, described as a man in his 20s wearing all black, fled the scene on foot.
