DfC To Hold PIP Information Sessions

The Department for Communities is set to hold a series of information sessions about PIP- the Personal Independence Payment introduced to gradually replace Disability Living Allowance (DLA).

It follows the Department's response to the Walter Radar report, an independent review into the PIP assessment process, that included a commitment to coordinate a series of events on the benefit.

Along with the DfC, Capita, Law Centre and Advice NI will provide information on how to claim your allowance, including evidence that's required and support available.

In partnership with Disability Action, the sessions will be held in Belfast, Enniskillen, Newry and L'Derry to support claimants, their family members and support workers in gaining a greater understanding and clarity on the information needed to support a claim.

The sessions are scheduled as follows:

• Friday 21 June 2019 at 2pm, Belfast NICVA

• Tuesday 25 June 2019 at 2pm, Derry City Hotel

• Thursday 27 June 2019 at 2pm, Fermanagh House, Enniskillen

• Friday 28 June 2019 at 2pm, Newry Conference Centre.

Those wishing to attend a session can register online via Event Brite.
