Damage At Antrim Playpark To Cost Hundreds
Police are investigating an incident of criminal damage at a play park in Ballymena which is expected to cost the local council hundreds of pounds to repair.
Rubber mats in the play area at Wakehurst Playing Fields were destroyed in the attack.
A PSNI officer condemned the incident in a post on Facebook: "All too often our community playparks are destroyed and families are no longer able to use them due to the damage.
"Please help us to identify those involved."
Anyone with information is urged to call non-emergency line 101 quoting reference number 446 of 19/06/19.

Pedestrian Injured In Belfast Hit-and-Run
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a hit-and-run incident in the Botanic Avenue area of Belfast in the early hours of Thursday morning. Officers were called to the scene shortly before 1.30am after a male pedestrian was struck by a maroon Mazda. Despite being injured, the pedestrian left the area before police arrived.

Detective Sergeant Faulkner confirmed that officers attended the scene alongside the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, who successfully extinguished the blaze.

Man suffers minor injuries in house fire
A 59-year-old man has been rescued from his bedroom after a fire broke out in his Ballymoney home. The alarm was raised shortly after 2.30am and police, fire and ambulance services were all called to attend the scene. The man was taken to a local hospital suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation and burns to his head.
