Co Antrim Fire Ruled Deliberate
A fire at a derelict house in County Antrim this morning, Tuesday 02 July, has been ruled deliberate.
Local residents were advised to close their windows and avoid the building on Steeple Road as the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service tackled the blaze.
Two appliances from Antrim, one from Ballymena and the turntable ladder and aerial from Springfield, Belfast, were tasked to the scene at around 5.20am.
Crews battled the blaze, which was later determined deliberate, until 12.15pm.

East Antrim UUP Assembly member Ken Robinson has welcomed news that the Government is set to provide a new fire station in Carrickfergus providing a fitting salute to the bravery and skill of the town’s firefighters. The MLA also said the decision is a vote of confidence in a growing and vibrant borough.

ASSEMBLY CREATE AWARD TO HONOUR FIRE SERVICE
THE Northern Ireland Fire Service is to receive the first ever award given by the province's devolved assembly. An illuminated scroll is to be presented to Chief Fire Officer John McClelland on Tuesday, by assembly speaker Lord Alderdice in tribute to the sacrifice made by fire fighters over the years.

Car Fire In Lurgan Ruled Deliberate
A vehicle that was found set alight in Lurgan this morning was ignited deliberately, according to the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS). Police received reports of the blaze in the Orient Circle area at 1.35am on Monday 20 May. The grey Audi sustained significant damage.

Police have launched an investigation following a fire at vacant premises in Belfast. The blaze, which is being treated as deliberate, happened at a building in the Holywood Road area at around 8.55pm on Tuesday, 09 May. The building has been completely destroyed. Emergency services attended the scene to put out the blaze.
