The Open Tee Times Announced
Northern Ireland's Darren Clarke is set to hit the opening shot at the Open Championship at Royal Portrush this week.
The Dungannon man, who has a house overlooking the course, will tee off at 6.35am on the opening day, Thursday 18 July. It comes after he won the Open in 2011.
Rory McIlroy is also among the early starters with a 10.09 slot- the first major he will play in his native Northern Ireland after he set the course record of 61 at Portrush at the age of just 16.
Meanwhile, three-time champion Tiger Woods, who won his 15th major title at the Masters in April, is out at 3.15pm.
Portrush native Graeme McDowell is off at 9:14 and will be playing with 2016 winner Henrik Stenson and American Xander Schauffele, who finished joint second at Carnoustie last year.
World number one Brooks Koepka, who won the US PGA Championship in May and finished second at both the Masters and US Open this year, is out at 1.04pm.
With a host of golfing greats set to grace the famous Dunluce Links, the people of Northern Ireland can't wait to be the centre of the sporting world. The course was recently remodelled and extended in its quest to secure its bid for the Open.
