Man Attacked With Baseball Bats In North Belfast
A man has been left with a suspected broken leg after he was attacked with baseball bats in north Belfast.
Police are investigating the incident, which occurred in the Hartwell Place area this morning, 15 August, as a suspected paramilitary style attack.
Two masked men armed with baseball bats approached a man in his 30's at around 2.25am. After being assaulted, the man was taken to hospital with what is believed to be a broken leg.
Detective Inspector Kerry Brennan slammed those responsible. She said: "This was a vicious and brutal assault, in which there is no justification for this type of attack. We met all work together to bring those responsible to justice and stop this from happening to anyone else."
Anyone with information is urged to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference 116 of 15/08/19. Alternatively, details can be provided anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Detectives in Newtownards have appealed for information after a house was attacked late last night, July 15. At around 11.45pm, several men wielding baseball bats, stones and a hammer smashed the windows at the front of a house on Trasnagh Drive. Three women were in the living room of the house at the time and one received minor cuts.

Three people have been treated in hospital after a gang of masked men armed with machetes, knives and baseball bats attacked them in a house in County Antrim. The gang of seven or eight men, one of whom may have had a handgun, entered a house on Friday August 17 at Donegore Drive in Antrim and forced the seven occupants to lie on the floor.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following an aggravated burglary in the Cliftonpark Avenue area of north Belfast on Friday 10th February. Shortly before 5:30am, it was reported that a number of men entered a flat in the area armed with baseball bats.

Two 18-year-old men have been attacked with baseball bats in Whitehead, Co Antrim. The victims were closing premises in the Balmoral Avenue area at around 8.30pm on Tuesday, 04 October when three men assaulted them. Both men were treated in hospital for their injuries. One has been discharged, and the other remains in hospital.
