Man Shot Through Front Door In West Belfast

An investigation has been launched after a man was shot in west Belfast last night.

The victim, aged in his 50s, sustained two gunshot wounds to his legs when the shots were fired through the front door of his house in the O'Neills Lane area. The incident occurred at around 8.50pm on Thursday evening, 03 October.

The man is currently in hospital receiving treatment for his injuries.

Two males dressed in dark coloured tracksuits were spotted leaving the area on foot in the direction of Brittons Parade.

Detectives have appealed for anyone who witnessed the shooting or saw the two men at or near O'Neills Lane to contact them at Musgrave Station on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Man Shot In County Down
A 28-year-old man has been shot in the leg in a gun attack in County Down. The man was getting out of his car at the Quays in Killyleagh at about 1.00am on Wednesday morning when a man approached him and shot him. The man is recovering in hospital where his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
